As the people of God, we, the church, are called to share the good news that Jesus Christ sets people free. It also provides a place for each person to grow and develop, or it should! The church is made up of people who are just as prone to mistakes and get their priorities mixed up as any other group of people who get together. We must remember that the church is referred to in the book of Revelation as “the Bride of Christ” (Revelation 19:7). He loves us and wants to be in relationship with us.

The church has also been called by the Apostle Paul “the body of Christ” (I Corinthians 12:12). The members of this body all have different gifts and ministries (1 Corinthians 12:1); as the people of God, we need to be encouraging one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11) and building each other up in love (Hebrews 3:13).
